Bathing is an important part of our daily hygiene. Some have the habit of taking a bath in the morning, while others take a bath before lunch. Many people like to bathe again in the morning, but return home and bathe at night. Almost all of us take two to three baths on a hot summer day. But bathing is not enough to keep the body healthy. There are several rules to be followed while bathing. Otherwise there remains the possibility of harming the body. Here are some correct rules for daily bathing.
Use the right soap while bathing: We all use soap while bathing. But soap has a profound effect on skin health. So choosing the right soap while bathing is very important. Anti-bacterial soaps are generally considered good for health. But it also kills many beneficial bacteria which are not good for health at all. Also, using overly alkaline soaps can be drying. So choose mild and oily soaps. And if your skin is sensitive, use scented soaps.
Proper use of towels: Many people believe that frequent washing of bath towels keeps them germ-free. But this is a misconception. Wet towels breed bacteria and viruses quickly. So wet towels should not be used at all. Wash towels with soap at least once a week. And towel should be dried well before use.
Shower head should be cleaned regularly: Most people do not clean the shower head regularly. It is very dangerous for health. Because shower heads harbor bacteria. Once this bacteria enters the body, it can cause a lung infection.
Clean the bathtub regularly: Like the shower head, many people do not take care to clean the bathtub. Bacteria grow faster in moist environments. As a result, the body may become worse. So the bathtub should be cleaned before every bath.
