What was the turning point?
She said, "My son was born in 2016. I was around 95 kg at that time. After a few years, mom got arthritis. My mom was suffering from joint pain. She couldn't do anything from going to the bathroom to getting up and walking. After that I decided to lead a healthy lifestyle. Told myself then to lose weight no matter what. Office was closed for two years during covid. That's when I started trying to go from FAT to FIT".

How was his diet?
"Started intermittent fasting (16/8), said Smita Chenna. Had lots of water and green tea (2 cups) and black coffee (1 cup) before lunch. Had lunch between 1pm and 3pm. Carbohydrates I used to avoid it. I used to eat more cucumber, broccoli, tomatoes, onions. I used to eat chicken, eggs, cheese, sprouts, pulses. Also nuts, dry fruits. I also kept flax seeds, sunflower seeds, watermelon seeds, chia seeds. It's important to know the quality of food. I used to try to finish dinner before 7 pm".

What was the workout?
- Cardio (running/Zumba dancing) – 30 minutes per week
- Light workout (eg crunches, planks, lunges, burpees) – 15 to 20 minutes
- Since I was past 40, I looked into improving metabolism.

What are the problems caused by excess weight?
She says, "Loss of confidence was not only physical, but also mental. I would not go home for any invitation, because I was very conscious about food. When I was overweight, I felt tired most of the time. After waking up, I found it difficult to do small tasks. At that time".

She said, "Diet is my biggest change. It has played a huge role in my transformation. Eat the right things at the right time. If you stick to it, you can keep your body healthy.
